D+ 333 Block Adhesive is a versatile thin jointing material designed for laying AAC blocks, fly ash bricks, concrete blocks and other specified masonry blocks. It is specially designed to provide higher bonding and higher tensile adhesion strength.

It is a pre-mixed, ready-to-use high-quality mortar comprising cement, graded sand and polymers. D+ 333 Block Adhesive replaces conventional jointing mortar of 12–18 mm thickness with a more versatile 3–5 mm thickness, helping in thin-bed block laying applications.

The product is intended for interior and exterior use for preparing thin-bed adhesive for concrete blocks, hollow blocks, AAC blocks, fly ash blocks, refractory bricks and fly ash bricks. It should not be used on flexible or gypsum-based substrates or for laying gypsum-based blocks.

Thin Bed Block Laying

The mixed mortar is applied in 2–3 mm layers using a trowel before placing the next layer of blocks. Joints between blocks are filled with the mixed mortar as required by the site engineer, and wall plumb should be checked during block laying.

Smoothing Over Block Work

A 2–3 mm bonding layer of D+ 333 Block Adhesive mortar can be applied using a trowel and pressed onto the block work.

Consumption / Coverage

The technical datasheet specifies coverage of approximately 11.15 sq.m.

The datasheet notes that actual coverage depends on the quality of the substrate and thickness of the material used. Proper mixing and application tools are recommended for better coverage.

Water Requirement

For approximately 40 kg of D+ 333 Block Adhesive, use 7.0–7.6 litres of potable water. The powder should be added slowly to the water while mixing by hand or with a slow-stirring mixing machine. Mixing should continue for 3–5 minutes until a smooth, thixotropic, lump-free mix is obtained.
