D+ Micro Concrete-333
- Categories: Ready Mix Mortar
- Availability: In Stock
- Product Type: Simple
D+ 333 MICROCONCRETE is supplied as a ready-to-use blend of dry powder that requires only the addition of clean water at site to produce a free-flowing, non-shrink microconcrete. It is based on Portland cement, fillers and additives that provide controlled expansion characteristics in the plastic state while minimizing water demand. The low water requirement helps provide high early strength and long-term durability.
D+ 333 MICROCONCRETE is designed for repair of damaged reinforced concrete elements, particularly where access is restricted and vibration of the placed material is difficult or impossible. It is also suitable for structural strengthening measures such as filling honeycombs and cracks.
Advantages
- Low-shrinking characteristic.
- Can be pumped or poured into restricted locations.
- Highly fluid and can be placed without vibration.
- Pre-packed to overcome site-batched variations.
- Low permeability.
- Suitable for bathrooms, kitchens and outdoor applications.
- Economical.
- Nearly immediately after application strong.
- Contains no chloride.
- Easy to use.
- Provides necessary hardening/setting quality.
- Good workability.
- Provides a strong connection to the substrate.
- Compatible substrate strength and mechanical characteristics.
- Little to no curing is necessary.
Application
D+ 333 MICROCONCRETE is used for:
- Repairing damaged reinforced concrete elements.
- Repair applications where access is restricted.
- Applications where vibration of the placed material is difficult or impossible.
- Structural strengthening measures.
- Filling honeycombs.
- Filling cracks.
Application Method
Surface Preparation:
Defective concrete must be cut back to a sound base and smooth surfaces should be mechanically roughened. Corroded reinforcing steel should be exposed around its full circumference and cleaned of loose scale and corrosion deposits. Grit-blasting is recommended. Any free water should be removed immediately before placing the material.
Mixing:
D+ 333 MICROCONCRETE should be thoroughly mixed in a forced-action mixer. The general water requirement is 5.2–5.40 litres per 40 kg bag.
Application:
The mixed material should be placed immediately. When pumped, standard concrete pumping practices should be followed and the pump and pipeline should be primed with cement slurry. When poured into formwork, pouring should be done from one side to avoid air entrapment.
Consumption
The provided technical datasheet does not specify a numerical coverage or consumption value for D+ 333 MICROCONCRETE.
The datasheet does specify the water requirement of approximately 5.2–5.40 litres per 40 kg bag.
