Application Method

The substrate must be free from oil, grease and loosely adherent material. Defective concrete or concrete containing laitance should be cut back to a sound base. Before grouting, remove free water and carefully blow out bolt holes and pockets. Formwork should be leak-proof, and the gap between the perimeter formwork and plate edge should generally not exceed 75 mm.

A mechanically powered grout mixer is recommended for best results. The grout should be placed within 20 minutes of mixing to obtain the full benefit of the expansion process. For thicker sections, the product should be filled out with well-graded silt-free aggregate to minimize heat buildup.
