DF-R135 is a modified epoxy resin, while DF-H235 is a hardener suitable for curing the epoxy resin at ambient temperature. The system is suitable for bonding a variety of materials including metal, ceramic and concrete.

Application Process

Surface Preparation:
The surfaces to be bonded should be thoroughly degreased with a suitable degreasing solvent such as toluene, acetone or tri-chloroethylene and abraded with coarse emery paper or chemically etched. The datasheet notes that inadequately prepared substrates may not bond satisfactorily.

Mixing & Application:
Mix the resin and hardener until a uniform mass is obtained. Apply a thin coat of the mixture to both surfaces using a brush or spatula, join the surfaces and apply pressure using tapes, clamps or bands. Pressure can be removed after 6–8 hours, while full strength is achieved within 24 hours. The mixture must be used within its pot life.
