D+ Floor Hardener-333
- Categories: Ready Mix Mortar
- Availability: In Stock
- Product Type: Simple
D+ 333 FLOOR HARDENER is a ready-made blend of non-metallic, inert, high-quality aggregates and cement designed to be applied as a dry shake over concrete surfaces. It provides protection to floors against wear, impact and abrasion and is designed for floors that require higher resistance and long-life performance.
The product is suitable for applications such as garages, aircraft hangers, helipads, car washing areas, loading areas, parking areas, mechanical workshops, warehouses and assembly houses for the automobile industry.
D+ 333 FLOOR HARDENER is non-metallic, so it does not rust or stain. It provides higher resistance to abrasion, wear and impact, is free from dusting, forms a monolithic bond with the base concrete and offers maintenance-free, long-life performance. It is also available in a wide range of colours. The datasheet specifies IS 2571:1970 as the standard code.

Application Method
The product is applied using the traditional dry-shake method onto concrete during approximately the initial set/plastic phase. The concrete should first be levelled using a straight edge and then vibrated. The surface is floated using a wooden float without closing the surface, and any bleed water should be removed.
The recommended amount of powder is then applied to the concrete surface and allowed to absorb moisture from the concrete until the dark colour appears. When the surface is sufficiently firm to take the weight of a person while leaving only minor indentations, the floor hardener is finished using a power trowel.
The datasheet gives the following application rates:
| Traffic Condition | Consumption |
|---|---|
| Light Traffic | 3 kg/m² |
| Medium Traffic | 5 kg/m² |
| Heavy Traffic | 7 kg/m² |
The datasheet states that typical application can range from 3 kg/m² to 7 kg/m², with 5 kg/m² recommended.
