D+ GOLD 4000

D+ GOLD 4000 is a premium-quality, high polymer modified deformable adhesive specially designed for fixing large-format vitrified tiles, glass mosaic, porcelain, terrazzo, non-staining natural and engineered tile/stone on cementitious and a variety of dry-wall board substrates. Its water and frost resistance allows it to be used in interior and exterior situations as well as wet areas such as swimming pools, saunas, hydrotherapy pools and shower enclosures. The adhesive can be used up to a 6 mm bed thickness, which can be extended up to 12 mm in areas of limited extent.

D+ GOLD 4000 (Grey) conforms to IS 15477:2019 Type 4 TS1 and EN 12004:2017, and is classified as a C2TES1 improved cementitious adhesive with slip resistance, extended open time and deformability.

The product is suitable for new substrates such as concrete walls and floors, cement-sand screed, cement-sand render, fibre cement boards, water-resistant H plaster boards and rigidly fixed gypsum boards. For renovation work, it is suitable for unglazed tiles, hard natural stones, glazed vitrified and ceramic tiles, mosaic tiles and in-situ mosaic flooring.

Consumption

The datasheet specifies coverage of approximately:

30–35 sq.ft. using a 3 mm × 3 mm square notch trowel.

The datasheet also notes that actual coverage depends on the nature and flatness of the surface and the method of application. For good coverage, surfaces should be smooth, plumb, level and free from defects and undulations.
